If I could say just one thing about Anya it would be that I have never met someone with such a thorough understanding of partner dancing and such a keen ability to help people execute properly. It is as if the partner gods told her all of the secrets of how our body works so she can help you bring your vision to life. You will not find anyone as loyal, dependable and professional as this woman. A must have for anyone serious about taking their dancing to the next level.Â

Anya is one of the fiercest dancers I know who's got a presence that can't be ignored. She's clean, technical and beautiful in both her dancing and her teaching. She's always one of the instructors I refer to dancers because of the wealth of information she has to offer.Â
The Curriculum
In this week we will uncover what it truly means to be a great performer and start exploring what that looks like to us. We will debunk and dismantle some popular ideas that actually don’t work and add unnecessary pressure to our process. We will create an outline for the entire course based on what we deem most natural exciting interesting and personal. We will work on developing personal style. By the end of this week you will walk away with the foundation of good presentation. You will learn tools like posture eye contact lines and other fundamental basic elements that help us look goodÂ
Week 2: Connection, Shaping, Spacial Awareness, and Staging
Connection is the greatest tool to being comfortable, captivating, present, and interesting.
In this week we will learn how to connect, relate, and interact with all that we have when we are dancing to start using it to enhance our choreography, movement, and expression. We will also cover the importance of using the space you are in to create and cultivate mood. By the end of this week you will always feel like you have things to work with and draw inspiration from.
Week 3: Musicality & Creativity
In this week we will learn how to use the music and other creative energies to create artistic dynamic performances. By the end of this week your body will look like the physical expression of the musicÂ
Week 4: Actions, Accents & Dynamics, Sharpness & Power
Week 5: How to Practice & Prepare for a Performance or Competition
In this week we will learn how to strategically practice to get ready to put on your best performance. We will also talk about warm up strategies and what to do and not to do before a show. In this week we talk about all the ways in which we block ourselves from being seen on stage and learn tools of how to not give away our power and how to build confidence.Â
Week 7: Expression Vs. Emotion
In this week we learn tools that help us be expressive and emotive without being dramatic or disconnected. This is the week where we harness natural expression and rid ourselves of any false cover ups or fake emotions. After this week your movement will be naturally more expressive.

In this week we talk about the importance of developing your character, how to do it and how to grow within it. We will discuss aesthetics like costumes make up. We will talk about the difference between character and characterization and how to develop both.Â
After this week you will have a good sense of who you are on stage, your range, what your ideal look is, what is your style and how you can define movement with detail without losing yourself, yet not overpowering with your personality either.Â
Week 9: Practice Exam
In our final week we will recap review and put everything into practice. We will have a practice exam where everyone presents a product and receives feedback.Â
If someone isn’t present looking live they can still present via video.Â
